The crew of BRP Malabrigo has successfully medically evacuated a passenger of a cruise ship at vicinity waters 1.5 Nautical Miles Northwest of Carabao Island, Cavite, on March 19, 2017. The passenger was identified as 70-year-old, an Australian-national Mrs. Pauline Sulivan.

Sib Hashian, the drummer who played on the first two hit albums of the legendary rock group Boston, has died at the age of 67. The rock legend died after collapsing onstage Wednesday night onboard the cruise ship MSC Divina, operated by MSC Cruises. The ship was chartered for the Legends of Rock Annual Cruise. Witness onboard report that ships medical personnel performed CPR and a defibrillator was used but to no avail.

Man missing after fall from Carnival Victory off Cuba

The US Coast Guard launched a search operation on Wednesday morning for a 23-year-old man who fell off the Carnival Victory while the cruise ship was sailing 33 miles northwest of the Cuban shore. The missing person was identified as Brandon Paul, a resident of Floral City, Florida, who reportedly went overboard from the deck 8 off Carnival Victory at around 3 a.m. The cruise ship launched a search operation and contacted the Seventh Coast Guard District watchstanders.

Woman gets drunk, falls off cruise and sues the cruise line

The daily morning news - talk show Fox & Friends that airs on Fox News Channel, released a story about a woman who was rescued after she fell off Carnival cruise ship. The woman is now suing Carnival stating that the bartender was encouraging her to get drunk and the crew delayed the rescue operation. As shown in the surveillance video the woman falls from deck 7 hitting one of the lifeboats before ending up in the water.

In response to the crisis, the Chinses government placed a travel ban to South Korea. Several South Korean cruise ports will be affected by the ban since most of the passengers sailing on the major cruise lines are Chinese. Costa Serena was the first cruise ship to be affected by this ban.
