Costa Cruises to reduce food waste by 50%

Starting this year Costa Cruises will reduce food waste on board its cruise ships by 50%. The program named "4GOODFOOD" developed with cooperation by University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo and Winnow, was already tested onboard Costa Diadema in 2016. The results during the trial period of 11 months have shown a reduction of food waste by over 50%, which is equivalent to a reduction of 1,189 tons of CO2, or the emissions of 231 cars in a year.

The message contains a link which once you click on it hackers have access to your account and can withdraw money or change your PIN.

The fourth member of the Norwegian Cruise Line Breakaway Plus family will be called Norwegian Encore. This was announced today by Andy Stuart, president and chief executive officer for Norwegian Cruise Line, during the steel-cutting at Meyer-Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. With 169,000 tones, 333.5 meters long and 41.5 meters wide, Encore will be able to carry up to 3,998 passengers.

Norovirus Outbreak on Island Princess

The cruise ship Island Princess arrived today at its home port Fort Lauderdale, Florida with 78 people stricken with norovirus symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the code red was implemented when 3.26% of the total passengers onboard were affected and 0.78% of the crew personnel.
