Aida Cruises Removes PCR Testing

AIDA Cruises becomes the first cruise line that will not require a mandatory PCR test before embarkation. For all AIDA trips starting from April 28, 2022, a PCR test is no longer required when checking in at the port terminal. In the future, only a quick antigen test one day before departure will be required for all guests over the age of 3 to participate in the planned trip.

Norwegian Bliss Starts 2022 Alaskan Cruise Season

TUI cancels South Africa cruises on Mein Schiff 3

TUI Cruises has made a decision to cancel all cruises in South Africa for the following season, affecting scheduled voyages of the Mein Schiff 3. The first voyage affected by the cancelations is 11-Night cruise from Mallorca to Tenerife on October 23, 2022. These cancelations run through the entire season, until March 3, 2023, when Mein Schiff 3 was scheduled to start the repositioning cruise from Cape Town to Gran Canaria.

Cargo vessel hits Mariner of the Seas in Freeport

Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas had an unfortunate accident in the Bahamas, the cruise ship was hit by the cargo vessel Tropic Freedom. According to passengers onboard, Tropic Freedom came alongside the harbor’s edge at speed, hit the concrete edge of the dock, and then lodged itself into Mariner of the Seas, which caused a lot of noise and shook the vessel.
