Coast Guard Medevacs Woman With Head Injury from Carnival Valor

Coast Guard Air Station Houston aircrew medevaced a woman from the cruise ship Carnival Valor on Thursday evening. The vessel departed for a 4-Nights Western Caribbean voyage form Galveston, Texas when just 10 miles off the shore when the US Coast Guard was contacted by the ships authorities. According to USCG a 30-year-old woman fell and hit her head aboard and needed medical assistance.

US Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston send MH-65 Dolphin helicopter which arrived on scene at 7 p.m. and hoisted the woman from Carnival Valor.

After transporting the injured woman to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston she was reported to be in stable condition.
