Princess Cruises global ambassador Gavin MacLeod 'Captain Stubing' dies

Gavin MacLeod the beloved Captain Merrill Stubing on the hit show “The Love Boat” and Princess Cruises' global ambassador has passed away early Saturday morning at his home In Palm Desert, age 90. 

Princess Cruises released a statement this afternoon honoring MacLeod's legacy.

NCLH Announces Restart of Additional Cruise Ships Across Its Three Brands

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings announced today the next phase of its planned restart of cruising across its three cruise lines. NCL will resume cruise operations on eight additional ships by the beginning Fall 2021, Oceania Cruises with three, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises will deploy all five ships back to service by February 2022. All initial cruises will operate with fully vaccinated crew and in addition to the Company’s multi-layered SailSAFE™ health and safety program.

Serenade and Ovation of the Seas Return to Alaska Cruises This Summer

Majestic Princess Crew Receive COVID-19 Vaccines

Over 200 crew members currently on board the cruise ship Majestic Princess received COVID-19 vaccinations at the Port of Los Angeles World Cruise Center. In partnership with The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Ports America, and Metro Cruise Services, Ambulnz administered 221 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Anthem of the Seas crew vaccination starts today in Cyprus

Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas is the latest cruise ship to get the crew vaccinated at the port of Limassol, Cyprus. According to information provided by a fellow crew member, vaccination will start today (May 22) and will be completed by tomorrow (May 23). The crew will get their first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine as a crucial step to resume cruise operation scheduled in the UK, this summer.

Odyssey of the Seas Israel Season Cancelled

Carnival Sensation arrives in Mobile for crew vaccination

The cruise ship Carnival Sensation arrived today in Mobile, Alabama for crew vaccinations. The ship docked into port in order for 110 crew members, currently on board, to get their first doses of the vaccine against COVID-19. Staff members from USA Health will board the vessel to vaccinate the ship’s crew who will then return in three weeks to receive their second doses.

Royal Caribbean tightens health protocols onboard Quantum Of The Seas

Royal Caribbean International changed the health and safety protocols onboard Quantum Of The Seas sailing out from Singapore, reports Singapore Cruise Society. The new measures will reduce guest capacity to 25%, all restaurants will be closed for guests and room service with the main dining room menu will be provided.
