Aug 24, 2022

MSC Sesacape, the newest, and most technologically advanced cruise ship in MSC Cruises fleet, has successfully completed the first intensive navigation tests and is ready to take on the role of flagship. She is the fourth unit of the Seaside class and the second Seaside Evo built in Italy by Fincantieri shipyards.

The ship, which has a gross tonnage of 169,400 tons, will be delivered to MSC Cruises in late November and will offer year-round Caribbean cruises departing from Miami. The MSC Seascape will be the second ship to enter service in the MSC fleet in 2022, after MSC World Europa which will enter service a few weeks earlier.

MSC Seascape's christening ceremony will take place in New York on December 7, 2022 at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. The new ship will offer two different seven-night itineraries, calling at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve and Nassau in the Bahamas, San Juan in Puerto Rico and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, or with a stop at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Cozumel in Mexico. George Town in the Cayman Islands and Ocho Rios in Jamaica.

"With the arrival of these two new ships, the fleet of MSC Cruises will go from 19 to 21 units in a few months, and next May, with the baptism of MSC Euribia, it will reach 22 units. An increase in capacity that will enrich our offer of destinations and itineraries available in all the seas of the world, and which testifies to the great confidence of MSC Cruises for the future, with increasingly technologically advanced and increasingly environmentally friendly ships” said Leonardo Massa, general manager of MSC Cruises.
