20 Kilos Cocaine Found on Cruise Ship

News papers in Venezuela reports that some 108 wrappers cocaine were seized Friday on a Cruise ship Pullmantur Horizon in operation in Guamache.
The Commander of the Strategic Defense Region Integrated Maritime and Insular (Redimain), Victor Ortiz Rojas, reported that members of the Local Area Command of the Bolivarian National Guard No. 71 "conducted an inspection of the cruise ship Horizon with Maltese flag, from Martinique, which was headed to Dominican Republic with 1,600 passengers and 600 crew, where they found 108 wrappers alleged cocaine with a total weight of 20 kilograms, "he said at a press conference.

The drugs seized was found by a dog belonging to the Drug Enforcement Canine Unit, which detected the panelas of cocaine in a suitcase and the rest in the safe cabin assigned to one of the detainees.

During this incident three people (two women and one man) who are allegedly involved in the events were detained.

Detainees are Venezuelans, two have residence in the state of Nueva Esparta and the Capital District. Both women have a criminal record and have 22 and 26 years old, while the man arrested is 34 years old.
