NCL plans to take outdoor fun to different level on newest Norwegian Breakaway. Breakaway will be launched in April 2013 and plan include five full-size water slides, including twin Free Fall slides, the first ever at sea. Aqua Park will have two swimming pools, four hot tubs and the Breezeway Bar & Grill, a semi-open air eatery.
Kids will have their own spot to with Nickelodeon themed Kids’ Aqua Park. Other activities will include a Dora's Dance Party, Pajama Jam Character Breakfast, character meet-and-greets and impromptu games utilizing pies and slime.
Ship will also feature three-story sports complex that include rock climbing, basketball court, a nine-hole miniature golf course, wall and the largest ropes course at sea.
For a thrill of a life time, guests will confront The Plank, a platform that extends eight feet over the side of the ship. Guest who chose to test this attraction will be rewarded by having their photo after conquering this feat.
Breakaway is currently under construction at a shipyard in Meyer Werft yard Germany, and it's scheduled to debut in April 2013 with year-round cruises from New York to Bermuda, the Bahamas, Florida and the Caribbean.
