Britannia is handed over to P&O Cruises

On 22nd February 2015, the Fincantieri Shipyard handed over to  P & O Cruises their brand new flag ship Britannia,

This ship will be the largest cruise ship exclusively dedicated to the British market for passenger and already sporting the new colors of this British operator, where the highlight is the "Union Flag" on the ship's bow with 97 meters in length. The ceremonie was held in Trieste, Italy.

Britania will remain some time in Italy before navigate to where Southmnapton arrival has announced on 6 March.

The calendar says that on March 10, the ship will be christened in that port, and on March 14 happens the maiden voyage of the ship, a 14-day cruise to the Western Mediterranean, after following up a cruise the Canary Islands and another for Northern Europe.

For some general characteristics of the vessel, this measures 330 meters long, dragging 141000 tons and will have capacity for 3611 passengers.
