Carnival Cruise Line has introduced a new fleetwide lottery game that connects passengers across its ships in North America and Europe, giving eligible guests a chance to win prizes of up to $1 million.
The daily lottery links all participating ships into a single game, replacing individual onboard lotteries with one centralized draw. Guests can purchase tickets through the Carnival HUB app after boarding. The app, already used for schedules and onboard planning, now also serves as the platform for buying tickets and receiving results.
The system was developed in partnership with TimePlay, a company specializing in interactive entertainment technology. Each day’s draw is handled electronically. Once the winning numbers are generated, the system automatically scans every ticket across the fleet. The entire process is digital, from ticket purchase to prize notification, eliminating the need for physical ticket checks.
Prizes range from onboard credit to the top jackpot of up to $1 million. Winners are notified instantly through the app.
Carnival says the goal is to create a shared moment of anticipation across multiple ships at sea. Company executives describe the product as a way to connect guests fleetwide while adding another layer of entertainment that runs throughout each voyage. With the lottery now live, every day at sea brings a new draw and a new opportunity to win.
