Crystal Cruises CEO Edie Rodriguez Resigns

Submitted by kgnadmin on

Crystal Cruises charismatic and energetic President and CEO, Edie Rodriguez, has resigned from the company just when she enabled the incredible expansion of Crystal Cruises since 2013. According to a statement, her departure was “very friendly “as she announced the intention of joining another company in the coming weeks.

Edie Rodriguez said she is more than proud of her role in the growth of Crystal Cruises.  "When I arrived it was not in a growth mode, but with new owners, we launched a new River Company, a new shipping yacht, and a charter flight company."

Rodriguez, who arrived at Crystal from Azamara Club Cruises four years ago, held various positions at Royal Caribbean Cruises and Carnival Corporation. When the Cruise Company was acquired by Genting Hong Kong she was promoted to President and CEO in 2015. Since then Crystal Cruises has inaugurated two river ships, a luxury yacht and a private Boeing 777, presented at the press conference a few months ago.

Edie Rodriguez will be replaced by the veteran Tom Wolber, who has worked at Walt Disney for nearly 30 years, including 10 years at Disney Cruise Line as Senior Vice President of Operations. During this period, the Disney grew up, with four cruise ships sailing around the world.
