Here is Maria’s story

I started working on Celebrity cruises in 2009 as a dancer. I graduated from the University of the Arts with a BFA in dance performance and resigned from being a NFL philadelphia eagles cheerleader after two years, to take my first cruise ship contract on Celebrity Cruises as a dancer/ quad aerialist. 

Her first contract was on Celebrity Solstice and was very interesting because it was her first time traveling out of the country for a long period of time, as well as overwhelming from meeting so many new friends and being away from home, and lastly very intense due to training and accomplishing transitioning from dancer to aerial duo speciality act. After Celebrity she joined NCL fleet and thoroughly enjoys working on both cruise lines and still gets excited visiting new countries as well as meeting new people constantly. 

“I am constantly working on achieving my goals and working as hard as I can to succeed. Working on cruise ships has always been a positive thing in my life, my future goals are to continue performing and just maintaining my happiness that's success to me. 6) regarding this cover of independence sports magazine, and what I benefit from being the cover, it literally comes down to having opportunities knock and just keeping my options open” says Maria.
