It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of the former Carnival Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations, Natko Nincevic. The news of his sudden death was shared by the Cruise Industry News, today. Many of you onboard and onshore at Carnival Cruise Line knew Mr. Nincevic and how much this Croatian gentleman meant to many people, shaping a couple of generations of the industries senior management.

In 1978 he joined Carnival as an Assistant Maitre d’ Hotel on the Carnival cruise ship TSS Carnivale. In 1981 Mr. Nincevic left the company and went to Montreal to further his experience in the hotel industry, including the Trust House Forte and Hilton Resort. Three years later he joined Carnival in the position of F&B Manager onboard MS Tropicale. His vision and passion were noticed by Everette Phillips, at the time General Manager of Carnival’s Catering Division, who offered him a job in the Miami office as Director of F&B for the fleet. In 1993 he was promoted to VP food & beverage and four years later he was promoted to Vice President of Hotel Operations. In 2000 followed the promotion to Senior VP of hotel operations until 2010 when he left the company.
