Miraculous Rescue by Norwegian Epic Crew

Mar 07, 2018

A passenger on board the Norwegian Cruise Line ship, Norwegian Epic, was rescued after going overboard on Tuesday night, as the vessel sailed near the Bahamas. NCL has confirmed the incident saying that a female guest went over the rail and into the ocean. Crew rescue teams immediately responded to the emergency and lowered a life boat to search for the missing passenger around the ship.

“We are thankful that our team reacted quickly and was able to rescue the guest. Our thoughts and prayers are with the guest and their family, as they embark on the recovery process and our CARE team is providing support and assistance during this time.” Says a statement released by Norwegian Cruise Line.

Norwegian Epic rescue crew was using lights from the life boat and the ship to locate the missing person and they found her alive in basically, total darkness. This is a truly miraculous rescue considering that most people overboard are never found especially during the night.

Once on board, the passenger was transferred to the ships medical facility. She is reported to be in stable condition. Norwegian Epic arrived today at the cruise ship terminal Cape Canaveral, Florida, after 4-Night Bahamas cruise, where EMS was waiting to transfer the passenger to the hospital.
