Francesco Schettino profits from Costa Concordia disaster with book release

Francesco Schettino is back, but this time as a writer: the former commander of the Costa Concordia tells his story in a book entitled "The truth submerged"

Last time Schettino was in spotlight in February, when the judges of the court in Grosseto pronounced his  sentence to 16 years , but now here he is back in vogue. Francesco Schettino , the former commander of the Costa Concordia judged solely responsible for the sinking of the cruise ship occurred off the island of Giglio Jan. 13, 2012, which cost the lives of 32 people.

Schettino is back, but this time he did it as a writer.  "The truth submerged" is the title of the book that the former commander is about to release in the coming days at the foreign press club in Rome: 608 pages written by the reporter Victorian Abate to tell his side of the story about that tragic night.

Some excerpts of the long Memorial of Schettino are however already appeared on the network, including a phrase that certainly is controversial:  "My biggest mistake? Did not die that night of the sinking " .

This is a pathetic and shameful way to profit from the 32 lives lost in Costa Concordia tragedy by the captain coward Schettino.
