NCL Crew Member Faces 10 years to life in Prison for Drug Smuggling

Desrick Gordon, former Utility Cleaner onboard Norwegian Sun was found guilty for smuggling cocaine into United States. The 23 year old crewmember back in March 2015 was caught together with five NCL crewmembers with 7.5 kilograms of cocaine by FBI. The crew members received packages with 750 grams of cocaine in Roatan Honduras and needed to smuggle the drugs to Tampa where local traffickers awaited the shipment. 

On Thursday Desrick Gordon from St. Vincent and the Grenadines was found guilty and faces 10 years to life in prison. His sentencing will be announced in March 2016. Rest of the former NCL crew members involved in the smuggling Jason Leon Carmichael (age 21), Arkine John (21), Alfred Kernel Ince (24), Teffan Delice (29), and Johnson Cherubin, (30) will await their verdict in January 2016.
