Oscar Code on Navigator of the Seas

Late last night  a person went overboard from Royal Caribbean cruise ship Navigator of the Seas.  Oscar, Oscar, Oscar code was announced  by the bridge, and search and rescue operation was launched by the ships crew. According to Cruise Law News the unfortunate event happened at around  11:00 P.M. Navigator of the Seas Captain has stopped the ship, and searching lights were pointed towards the sea. The crew throw life rings all around the water however they didn’t manage to find and rescue the person. 

US Coastguard was notified for the incident and responded by sending Helicopter. After sailing in circles around the suspected area where the person jumped overboard, Navigator of the Seas continued its journey to Port Evergladesand US Coast Guard continued with the search.

It is unknown if the missing person was a crew member or passenger.

Latest update 

People on board say that the missing person was a male passenger who had marital dispute before he jumped overboard. US Coastguard is still searching for the man.
