Oceania Cruises Purchase Ocean Princess

Princess cruises sold their 672-passenger cruise ship Ocean Princess to Oceania Cruises. The smallest and most luxurious princess cruise ship was sold for $66 million with an purchase agreement in November 2014 between Carnival Corporation and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. Oceania Cruises will spend additional $40 million on a renovation during 35-days dry dock. The ship will set sail on her maiden voyage from Barcelona, Spain on 27. April .2016 as Oceania Sirena.

Founded in 2002 Oceania Cruises has a fleet of five cruise ships, three of theme belong to the same R class ships as Ocean Princess (originally build for Renaissance Cruises). Other Two R class ships are owned by Azamara Club Cruises (Azamara Journey, Azamara Quest), a daughter company of Celebrity Cruises.
