Cristiano Ronaldo message is innovative because it has never been done in promoting cruise ship tourism by a soccer star, enhancing the reputation and positioning of Madeira and its main port.
Near the cruise ship port is a Museum dedicated to the professional career of Cristiano Ronaldo, named CR7 museum, featuring the two Ballon d'or, 145 other individual and team trophies and his wax statue. The museum is very popular among the visitors and estimates are that 80% of tourists arriving in Madeira, visit the museum.
