Submitted by kgnadmin on

U.S. Immigration and Customs officers arrested four women for smuggling cocaine, after their week long Royal Caribbean cruise. ABC WFTV9 network reports that Ciera Bryant, Lakisha Abney, Shenique Milbourne and Shawnta Aiken were arrested on May 15 after they disembarked in Port Canaveral from Freedom of the Seas with over 6,5 kilograms of cocaine hidden in their bras and girdles. The U.S. Customs Officers noticed the suspicious behavior by one of the woman and decided to pat her down. After they found the cocaine the woman told the officers she was traveling with three friends who were also escorted into a baggage inspection area where officers conducted a search and found vacuum-sealed packages containing cocaine in their bras and girdles.

All four women said a man that they knew offered them a free cruise and $700 for spending which they accepted. The seven-nights cruise departed from Port Canaveral on May 8 and made stops in Labadee, Flamouth, George Town and Cozumel. While in Flamouth Jamaica, the women met with a man who gave them the bras and girdles with the cocaine hidden inside. The women are charged with conspiracy to import 6.668 kilograms into the United States.
