Two Syrian immigrants Illegally Board Celebrity Reflection in Rhodes

The Police arrested two Syrian immigrants in the port of Rhodes, Greece attempting to leave the country illegally and travel abroad on a cruise ship. The incident occurred on July 4, at around 1:30 p.m. when the crew of the cruise ship Celebrity Reflection, spotted two Syrian nationals age 32 and 18, and alerted the port authorities. According to the Greek Newspaper Dimokratiki the two men were found hiding in the aft section of Celebrity Reflection. Immediately after Central Port Authority of Rhodes was informed by the ship's crew that two refugees boarded the vessel.

The aliens were arrested and brought to justice and a preliminary investigation of the security breach was carried out by the Port Authority of Rhodes. It is not known how the immigrants have boarded the ship and passed thru the port security.

Celebrity Reflection was on a 10 Night Italy & Greek Isles Voyage with a final stop in Civitavecchia, Italy which was a destination the two men were attempting to reach.

There was a similar incident at the port of Heraklion when a 27-year-old refugee was arrested in an attempt to board on a cruise ship heading to Venice, Italy, reports Creta Post.
