Nicko Cruises to resume cruise operations on April 10

The German-based cruise line Nicko Cruises, announced today its long-awaited maiden voyage onboard the small expedition ship WORLD VOYAGER. The 200 pasanger ship is expected to set sail on April 10, with an 11-day itinerary around the Canary Islands, departing from Tenerife.

"We are pleased that we can finally start our small expedition ship and again offer our guests wonderful holiday experiences", said Guido Laukamp, Managing Director of nicko cruises. “With the launch of our WORLD VOYAGER, we are sending a clear signal that safe travel is possible on our ships.”

Nicko Cruises has developed extensive safety and hygiene 10-point plan that has already proven effective in 2020. In addition, the cruise expert is reducing the occupancy rate this season, ensuring travel enjoyment with sufficient distance and a manageable number of guests.

The safety of guests and crew is the highest priority on all Nicko cruises - on the upcoming voyages with the WORLD VOYAGER. Part of the tried and tested 10-point plan includes health questionnaire and free COVID-19 tests for guests during embarkation and disembarkation, compliance with the usual distance and hygiene rules on board, daily contactless temperature measurement and additional cleaning cycles the ships. All crew members are comprehensively trained with regard to hygiene and health protection measures.
