AIDAnova to resume cruises as the 10th Aida ship in the fleet

Today AIDAnova, the 10th cruise ship in the Aida fleet to restart cruises, arrived at the port of Hamburg for the first time. As the ship entered the port the crew onboard sent a lighting message “Moin ❤ HH” to the people of Hamburg along the Elbe River. Since the arrival in the Hanseatic city, the final preparations have been made to welcome the first guests tomorrow, December 14, 2021. AIDAnova is the first cruise ship in the world operated 100% with low-emission liquefied natural gas (LNG). The vessel received Blue Angel seal by the German government for an environmentally friendly ship design two years ago. 

For the following holiday season, AIDAnova has been transformed into a winter wonderland with oversized Christmas light installations and festively decorated Christmas trees waiting to be admired by all guests. The first of two Advent trips leads from/to Hamburg from December 14th to 19th, 2021 to Kristiansand and Oslo. 

Guests will have an opportunity to create tasty cookies and Christmas chocolates together with the well-known TV chef. The AIDA Show Ensemble is returning on board AIDAnova in time for the festival. The singers and dancers will present magical Christmas moments in the theatrium. The successful formats such as “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” are also returning to the stage. A new hands-on event is the “Upgrade Show”, in which guests from two inside cabins with packed suitcases can play for an upgrade to a veranda cabin while the voyage is still in progress.

The full festive program offers cruises from December 22, 2021 to January 8, 2022 from Hamburg to Gran Canaria. Guests experience the turn of the year in Funchal / Madeira. One of the most spectacular fireworks in the world is held there every year. The holiday trips can also be booked in a shorter version from or to Lisbon.

From January to April 2022, AIDAnova will head for Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, some of the most beautiful islands in the Spanish archipelago. The Canary Islands are one of the classics for everyone who wants to soak up the sun even in winter. The trips can be booked at the AIDA VARIO price from 499 euros * per person, the arrival and departure package is available from 330 euros ** per person.

On board AIDAnova, guests can expect among other things 17 restaurants and 23 bars, a double water slide and the climbing garden, the Beach Club, the Theatrium with its 360 ° stage, the TV studio and the spacious Body & Soul Organic Spa.

With the expanded AIDA health and safety concept, guests can enjoy relaxed vacation in a safe envroment. All AIDA trips take place with an adapted passenger capacity. In addition to the regulations on vaccination protection and the additional COVID-19 tests before arrival, the comprehensive preventive measures include regular health checks on board and extensive AHA rules. In the medical centers, equipped with the most modern COVID-19 test devices, among other things, comprehensive care is guaranteed around the clock.
