Wonder of the Seas, officially joins Royal Caribbean fleet

Royal Caribbean International officially expanded its fleet on January 27th, 2022, after taking over the new Wonder of the Seas from the shipyard Chantiers de l'Atlantique. From April 2019 to January 2022, the world’s largest cruise ship was under construction at the well-known French shipyard in Saint-Nazaire The newest ship in the Oasis-class has now been handed over to Royal Caribbean International with a flag ceremony in Marseille. The company's fleet now consists of 26 cruise ships.

Wonder of the Seas has left France and is currently heading to Limassol in Cyprus, where the largest cruise ship in the world is expected on January 31, 2022. However, the ship's maiden season will be cruising from the US to the Caribbean, with a transatlantic voyage scheduled for February. The ship is scheduled to start cruising in Fort Lauderdale on March 4th. After a rather short stint in the US and the Caribbean, Wonder of the Seas will return to Europe offering cruises in the Western Mediterranean from May 2022.
