AIDA Cruises welcomed first guests onboard its newest ship AIDAcosma in Hamburg. The seven-day cruise set sail on February 26, 2022 to Southampton and on to Cherbourg in France. Further stops are Zeebrugge and Rotterdam before the ship returns back in Hamburg on March 5, 2022. The 183,900-ton cruise ship is operated with low-emission liquefied natural gas (LNG) - currently the lowest-emission fossil fuel in the industry - reached the Hanseatic city for the first time on the afternoon of February 25, 2022.

Onboard AIDAcosma, one of the most innovative cruise ships guests can expect a huge variety of offers. The beautiful new Ocean Deck extends over four decks and offers 360° panoramic ocean views and an infinity pool at the stern of the ship. Also on board is the new fun park with a large indoor playground and the new bouldering wall for lots of variety.

The variety of venues on board has also been expanded again: In the new specialty restaurant Beach House, light summer delicacies are served. The Brauhaus scores with an outdoor grill with a wonderful sea view and the specialty restaurant Mamma Mia offers homemade pasta and fresh Italian cuisine with service at your seat. In addition, AIDAcosma impresses with features that are also popular on AIDAnova, such as the Beach Club, the Theatrium with its 360° stage, the TV studio and the spacious Body & Soul Organic Spa. Guests are spoiled with culinary delights in 17 restaurants and 23 bars and cafés.

Altogether, AIDAcosma will visit the Hanseatic city six times. The highlight is the christening on April 9, 2022. On this day, the exceptional athlete Kristina Vogel will christen the new ship in Hamburg. Guests on the 14-day christening voyage from April 9 to 23, 2022 from Hamburg to Palma can experience this special event on board. Southern England, Lisbon, Málaga and Barcelona, among others, invite to discovery tours on land.

From April 23 to October 15, 2022, AIDAcosma will offer voyages from Palma de Malorca and Barcelona. Florence, Rome and Corsica are also on the program on the week-long "Mediterranean Treasures" highlight route. In autumn she sets course for her sunny winter home in Dubai.
