Things to consider before returning to the ship life

Submitted by kgnadmin on

Have you ever found yourself daydreaming about leaving behind the land life and returning to the ship life? It's okay, we've all been there. But before you pack your bags and run off to join a ship, let's ask ourselves some important questions:

Do you really want to go back living in a closet-sized cabin without windows? I mean, sure, the ocean is great and all, but have you all know the size of those cabins? After experiencing the luxury od full size apartment on land, can you really go back to living like a sardine in a can? I know I can't!

Can your body handle the grueling hours? We all know the drill: party hard, work harder, repeat. But can your body handle it now that you're not in your early twenties? And let's not forget about the lack of sleep. Who needs a good night's rest when you can just chug some coffee and power through? But seriously, can you handle the sleep deprivation?

Can your liver handle the partying? Ah, the memories of endless Heineken and rum-filled nights. But let's face it, our livers aren't as resilient as they used to be. Can you still keep up with the youngins, or will you end up looking like a zombie from The Walking Dead?

What are your relationship goals? If you're hoping to find true love on a cruise ship, think again. It's not impossible, but it's pretty rare. And let's not forget about the limited dating pool if you're looking for a single, straight man in his thirties, good luck! Unless you're into 20-year-old dancers, in which case, set sail!

Do you really want to start all over again? Starting fresh can be exciting but also a lot of work. Do you really want to give up your comfortable life for the unknown? Think about all the hard work it took to get where you are now. Are you willing to start from scratch?

I know the call of the sea is tempting. There are mornings when I wish I was waking up in Alaska, and nights when I know the rocking of the ship would put me to sleep faster than my own bed. But then I think about all that I have on land, and I smile and shrug it off. Maybe it's not all smooth sailing, but it's definitely worth staying put for a while longer.

As for me, I'll stick to my queen-size bed and high-speed internet. But I'll still dream of the sea from time to time...
