Authorities are searching for the missing person identified as 26-year-old Kevin McGrath, who was last seen on Monday morning after the cruise ship Carnival Conquest returned to the Port of Miami. Despite an extensive search on board, McGrath could not be located, prompting concerns for his safety.

Carnival Cruise Line issued a statement on Tuesday, revealing that Kevin McGrath was last seen at 7 a.m. in his cabin as the Carnival Conquest arrived back in Miami from a round-trip voyage to The Bahamas. Family members reported him missing, and subsequent searches on the ship failed to locate him.

McGrath, described as wearing a black shirt, shorts, and gray sneakers, was officially declared a missing person by Miami-Dade police on Tuesday morning. Authorities are actively seeking information from the public to aid in the search.

Miami-Dade police spokesperson, Jane Alvarez, stated, "We are deeply concerned about Mr. McGrath's well-being, and we are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact authorities immediately. He may be in need of services, and every minute is crucial in our efforts to locate him."

Upon realizing that McGrath could not be found on the cruise ship, Carnival Cruise Line contacted the U.S. Coast Guard, which launched search operations in the vicinity of the Port of Miami. Coast Guard crews are also scouring the South Florida shoreline in their efforts to locate the missing passenger.

Carnival Cruise Line expressed their concern in their statement, saying, "The guest was not detected by surveillance systems, including U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, during the debarkation process." The company is cooperating fully with authorities and assisting in the search efforts.

The Carnival Conquest cruise ship had just completed a 4-day journey to The Bahamas, with stops in Half Moon Cay and Nassau, Bahamas, before returning to Miami.

As the search for Kevin McGrath intensifies, authorities are urging anyone with information that may assist in locating him to come forward promptly.
