Aida Cancels Voyages on 3 Cruise Ships
Due to the current situation in the Red Sea, AIDA Cruises announced the cancellation of the trans voyages of AIDAbella, AIDAblu, and AIDAprima in spring 2024. The three ships will sail directly to their summer destinations in Europe, necessitating the cancellation of some individual cruises before or after the passages due to the longer route along the African coast. AIDA prima's journey from March 31st to April 7th, 2024 will now conclude in Dubai instead of Abu Dhabi.
“Given the latest developments in the Red Sea, we are unfortunately forced to cancel the trans trips of AIDAbella, AIDAblu, and AIDAprima in spring 2024. In the interest of safety for our guests and crew, this is the only responsible option. It is important to us to give all guests planning security for their vacation with this early information,” Aida said in a statement.

Affected guests and travel agencies with bookings for the canceled trips will be notified. The trips from May 26th on the AIDAbella, from March 30th from AIDAblu, and from May 7th by AIDAprima will proceed as scheduled. Any changes for autumn 2024 will be announced by AIDA Cruises in the coming days.
