Regent names Seven Seas Explorer Senior Officers

Regent Seven Seas has announced senior officers for its new cruise ship Seven Seas Explorer, scheduled to enter service in mid 2016.

Captain Stanislas Gerard Jean Mercier De Lacombe will lead 550 onboard crew members as well as the team of senior officers Franck Galzy - General Manager, Aurelien Dumeylet - Executive Chef, Luca Griggi - Chief Engineer and Ray Solaire - Cruise Director.

 

 

Captain Stanislas Gerard Jean Mercier De Lacombe has more than twenty years of seafaring experience, and has been at the helm of Seven Seas Navigator and Seven Seas Mariner since joining Regent Seven Seas Cruises back in 2009. 

Franck Galzy - General Manager is in charge of overall hotel and food & beverage operations for Seven Seas Explorer. Galzy has graduated from the CAFA Sommelier Wine School in Angers, and expanded his hospitality expertise at the famous Crabwall Manor Hotel & Spa in the UK. He joined Regent six years ago, and since then he was in charge for number of special events during some of the most spectacular cruise voyages.

Aurelien Dumeylet - Executive Chef will supervise all galley operations starting from the menu, food preparation and food requisitions for Seven Seas Explorer’s gourmet dining options. Chef Dumeylet comes from Limoges, France, and has served onboard Regent Seven Seas cruise ships since 2007.

Luca Griggi - Chief Engineer has over 30 years of maritime experience will be responsible for overseeing ships technical operations, and mechanical functions. Luca Griggi joined Regent in 2012 after serving for Italian Coast Guard.

Ray Solaire - Cruise director has 40 years of experience as a performer on variety cruise lines as a talented singer, puppeteer and comedian. Ray has joined Regent Seven Seas in 2008 and has served as cruise director on Seven Seas Navigator and Seven Seas Mariner.
