Submitted by kgnadmin on

Sib Hashian, the drummer who played on the first two hit albums of the legendary rock group Boston, has died at the age of 67. The rock legend died after collapsing onstage Wednesday night onboard the cruise ship MSC Divina, operated by MSC Cruises. The ship was chartered for the Legends of Rock Annual Cruise. Witness onboard report that ships medical personnel performed CPR and a defibrillator was used but to no avail. The cause of death is not known but Hashian family think it might be a heart attack. His son Adam said, "We in his family really appreciate the love and support that everyone has shown and we are deeply sorry for everyone's loss."

As a member of the American rock band Boston, Sib Hashian achieved most notable successes during the 1970s and 1980s. The band’s best-known songs include "More Than a Feeling", "Foreplay/Long Time", "Peace of Mind", "Rock and Roll Band", "Smokin'", "Don't Look Back", and "Amanda". Boston sold more than 75 million records worldwide, of which 17 million were from their debut album and 7 million were for their second album.

MSC Divina departed the port of Miami on March 18, 2017, for a 7 Nights Caribbean and Antilles Rock Cruise. Onboard the Legends of Rock cruise were also Sib Hashian’s old Boston bandmate Barry Goudreau, David Marks from Beach Boys, and Lou Gramm among others.

In Sib Hashian long lasting memory here is Boston’s biggest hit “More Than a Feeling".
