Princess Cruises’ Sun Princess has been honored with the 2025 Good Housekeeping Family Travel Award, with its reputation as a leader in family-focused cruising.
The Good Housekeeping Family Travel Awards celebrate destinations and experiences that provide exceptional value, quality, and joy for families. From parents traveling with young children to multigenerational reunions, the awards highlight offerings that deliver unforgettable moments. This year’s winners were selected through expert reviews, consumer feedback, and hands-on testing by Good Housekeeping’s editorial team.
The Sun Princess impressed judges with its innovative design, luxurious amenities, and entertainment options, making it an ideal venue for celebrating life’s special moments.
“We are deeply honored to receive this recognition from one of the most trusted names in family recommendations,” said John Padgett, President of Princess Cruises. “Our ship was designed to bring generations together through unforgettable experiences at sea, and this award reaffirms our commitment to creating cherished family memories.”
As the first of the Sphere Class ships, Sun Princess represents a new era of innovation for Princess Cruises. After a successful inaugural season in the Mediterranean, the ship recently made its Caribbean debut in Fort Lauderdale. Its sister ship, Star Princess, is set to join the fleet in Fall 2025, initially offering Caribbean itineraries alongside Sun Princess before transitioning to Alaskan voyages in Spring 2026.
