A cruise company is launching the first-ever all-female Antarctic cruise, scheduled to set sail in 2027. This pioneering voyage by Australian expedition cruise line Aurora Expeditions promises adventure and exploration in one of the most remote places on Earth.
The "Antarctic Women's Expedition", departing February 23 to March 4, 2027, is designed specifically for women seeking a unique and empowering travel experience. Aurora Expeditions, known for its small-group adventure travel, describes the cruise as a chance for like-minded women to explore together under the leadership of an all-female expedition team.
“This expedition is designed for adventurous women who share a passion for exploration and a desire to connect with like-minded travelers,” Aurora Expeditions said.
The ten-day itinerary begins in Punta Arenas, Chile, where participants will board the Sylvia Earle after a flight to King George Island. The state-of-the-art ship, named after renowned oceanographer Sylvia Earle, accommodates 130 passengers and features a heated outdoor saltwater pool, whirlpools, a wellness area with a gym and sauna, and an expert-led education program focused on polar biology and climate change.
This cruise joins the growing trend of women-only travel experiences, offering a rare chance to step into the wild alongside a community of adventurous female explorers.
