Colombian coffee will now sail through the America, Europe, and the Caribbean thanks to Pullmantur and Juan Valdéz. The Spanish cruise line Pullmantur announced today signing of a strategic partnership with the Colombian coffee maker Juan Valdéz. The alliance with Juan Valdez consists of a two-year contract in which the company will be the exclusive supplier of coffee in all Pullmantur cruise ships which will be served in all venues onboard.

According to estimates by the Vice President of Pullmantur, the consumption of coffee in all four cruise vessels would be around 4,000 kilograms per month. "In addition to the large amount of coffee that will be consumed in our ships. We also look for the opportunity to have some points of sale in the shops. We are working on the development of the experience with Juan Valdez, "said Richard J. Vogel, President, and CEO of Pullmantur Cruises.

"It is a privilege to bring Juan Valdez coffee to the 400,000 passengers of different nationalities that each year choose us as their vacation option. I am sure that the arrival of Juan Valdez® to our fleet will contribute very positively to the experience of our guests, who will be able to taste a cup of the best coffee as they travel through unique destinations and enjoy the best vacations of their life aboard Pullmantur Cruises ", Added Vogel.

"Our strategy as a Spanish company and as a company focused on the Latin American market, particularly in the Colombian market, is looking for agreements or alliances with brands that are highly identified in that country," said José Blanco, Pullmantur Commercial Vice President.

This is no surprise since Colombians are already part of 40% of the total number of passengers that choose Pullmantur Cruises per year, which is about 400,000.
