Authorities in St. Martin are asking for the public’s help after U.S. tourist went missing during a shore excursion last week.
The Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM) launched an island-wide search for 55-year-old Ann Evans, a guest aboard Holland America Line’s ms Rotterdam, after she failed to return from an organized tour on November 20, 2025.
According to police, Evans disembarked the ship in Philipsburg at around 10:00 a.m. to join a scheduled island tour. During the excursion, she stepped off the bus in Marigot, located on the French side of Saint Martin, but never returned to the group or the cruise ship.
KPSM says officers immediately began searching the area once the missing-person report was filed. French authorities have also joined the investigation, expanding the search to both Dutch and French territory.
Police have released Evans’ description and nationality to assist the public in identifying her:
- Name: Ann EVANS
- Age: 55
- Nationality: United States
Officials said that anyone who may have seen Evans in Marigot or elsewhere on the island should come forward. They also included a message directly to Evans, urging her to contact authorities or her family to confirm she is safe.
ms Rotterdam is currently sailing a 21-day Southern & Eastern Caribbean crruise which departed on November 7, 2025, and is scheduled to end on November 28, 2025. The ship was docked in Port St. Maarten when Evans joined the excursion.
