A new tattoo policy from Princess Cruises is already getting crew members talking onboard after it officially kicked in on April 2, 2026.
Based on a message shared with Crew Center, any visible tattoo bigger than 5x5 cm — including full sleeves — now has to be covered while working or in guest areas. Crew can use long-sleeve uniforms or special tattoo covers, which are now being sold onboard.
The company says it’s all about keeping a clean, professional look and staying in line with industry standards. But for many crew, this is a big change — especially if you’ve got multiple or larger tattoos that are hard to hide.
Supervisors will be checking, and not following the rules could lead to disciplinary action.
As expected, reactions are mixed, and a lot of crew are already sharing their thoughts.
