Natalia Pestana to design the new uniforms for Pullmantur Cruises crew

Natalia Pestana a young designer from Madrid, is the winner of the contest "trends on board" organized by Pullmantur Cruises to renew the uniforms for their shipboard employees. Twelve finalists presented their micro collection designs of crew uniforms at the event held in Aula Magna - IED Madrid which was attended by more than 200 professionals from the world of fashion and tourism. At the event, each finalist was accompanied by a model that wore the prototype of a buffet waitress uniform. The winning design by Natalia Pestana, presented above, was approved by the panel of judges led by the prestigious Spanish designer, Juanjo Oliva.

From a variety of different professionals on board: bar and restaurant; cabin crew, excursions staff, photo department and animation, the designers were tasked to create many different uniforms to match Pullmantur culture and its Spanish roots.

According to the President & CEO of Pullmantur Cruceros, Richard J. Vogel, "Collaborating with these young talents has been a privilege and a very enriching experience, which has not yet ended”. Now, the next step - says Vogel - is "working hand in hand with Natalia Pestaña to give life to her proposal and that her designs arrive on board ".

The young designer, says that winning this award is "a great step forward to enter the world of design, opening doors, not only in the field of fashion but also in the design of work uniforms". Meanwhile, on a personal level, "it supposes something much more special: it is internal happiness, an overcoming as a person and pride for the perseverance and the work achieved".
