MSC Cruises extends Arabian Gulf season

Submitted by kgnadmin on

MSC Cruises announced extension of the cruise season in the Arabian Gulf through June 25 with the cruise ship MSC Bellissima. The cruise line will offer additional 7-night cruises with stops in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sir Bani Yas in the United Arab Emirates and Doha in Qatar.

On March 26, MSC Bellissima will finalize scheduled Red Sea itineraries based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and move to the Arabian Gulf, replacing MSC Virtuosa from April 2.

MSC Virtuosa has been sailing in the region since November 2021 and, after the end of the winter season, will return to Europe to homeport in Southampton, England, for the summer season. In July, MSC Bellissima will sail to the Far East to offer itineraries in Japan. The Arabian Gulf region has proven particularly attractive to MSC Cruises passengers this winter, thanks to its exciting itinerary, which includes additional port calls and two nights in Dubai.

In addition, the effectiveness of the health and hygiene protocols established both by the company and by the local authorities for entry and stay in the region have made passengers feel safe.

MSC Bellissima, one of the company's most popular ships, will replace MSC Virtuosa at the end of March as this ship heads to Europe for the summer season.

Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, commented: "We have seen that itineraries in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar have been very popular with our passengers and, to respond to this demand, we have decided to extend our presence in the region. We would like to thank the authorities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha for their cooperation and effective way of working so that we can ensure that the health and safety of our passengers and crew is maintained on the ground as well. The decision to mobilize MSC Bellissima for this extended season has been made because she is a very popular ship, boasting a wealth of entertainment and dining options, as well as offering the acclaimed MSC Yacht Club.”
