Submitted by kgnadmin on

After the temporary pause, MSC Magnifica is back to cruising. The ship departed yesterday from the port of Hamburg, Germany on a 7-night Northern Europe itinerary with scheduled stops in Southampton, UK; Le Havre, France; Zeebrugge (Bruges) and IJmuiden, Netherlands.

In December MSC Cruises canceled the 7-Night Northern Europe voyages onboard the MSC Magnifica after restrictive measures were implemented by several EU countries including Germany and the UK, due to the surge of the Covid cases caused by the Omicron variant.

MSC Cruises operated these one-week cruises since November 14th, 2021, from / to Hamburg on the so-called "metropolitan route". Guests can board the ship and start their cruise in each port on the itinerary.

All guests 12 years and older must be fully vaccinated and present a negative antigen or PCR test (no older than 48 hours). Accompanying children between the ages of two and eleven must present a negative test result (PCR test not older than 48 hours, antigen test not older than 24 hours).

The ship follows MSC Cruises' health and safety protocol, under the protection of which more than one million guests have traveled safely since August 2020. It includes measures such as comprehensive Covid tests for crew and guests, increased hygiene on board, wearing masks in indoor public spaces, a fully equipped medical center, an emergency plan coordinated in cooperation with the authorities on land and other important health protection components and safety of guests, crew and the communities the ship visits.
