Submitted by kgnadmin on

Carnival Cruise Line has reached a remarkable milestone since its restart of cruises in the summer of 2021. The cruise line has welcomed two million guests.

The whole armada has been cruising since the starting of May 2022, and presently the Carnival has celebrated another awesome breakthrough. Two million visitors have now set cruise on a voyage since the restart, and the family cruising from Port Canaveral to Carnival Freedom accomplished this.

The turning point was marked today when the Gibbs family - Daniel and Christie with their son Mason and grandmother Teresa Campbell - from Ocala, Florida, boarded the ship. They were surprised by the fanfare of Captain Maria Imbimba of Carnival Freedom, hotel director, cruise director and team members.

The resumption of the industry-setting company began on July 3, 2021, when Carnival Vista set sail from Galveston and since then 22 additional ships have continued to operate, from 13 home ports in the US, as long as guests helped gather 2, $ 25 million for partner, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

In addition, during this period, guests made more than 1.3 million excursions on the coast to Carnival's destination ports, and two million Carnival branded items were sold in gift shops across the fleet, including 150,000 items from the 50th birthday collection.

“We are so pleased to have sailed two million guests since our restart, providing much-needed vacations featuring our signature fun to an array of destinations in the Caribbean, The Bahamas, the Mexican Riviera, Alaska and Europe,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “All the while, providing an economic boost to those destinations and providing our crew members with opportunities to support their families.”

Carnival will resume at its 14th home port of New York in June with Carnival Magic and has announced plans to resume Carnival Splendor in Australia after the Alaska season with a three-day cruise departing from Sydney on October 2, 2022. And in November, Carnival The latest ship, the Carnival Celebration, with a roller coaster and liquefied natural gas (LNG) propulsion, will debut in Miami.
