AIDA Cruises is the latest cruise line to ease Covid-19 vaccination requirements for guests sailing abort their ships. The easing of the COVID-19 situation around the world in recent months has led to a significant reduction in travel. A number of relaxations were initiated, allowing AIDA Cruises to gradually and responsibly adjust its protocols. As of September 17, 2022, proof of vaccination protection against COVID-19 will not be required on most AIDA voyages.

This applies to sailing that are shorter than 16 days. For voyages longer than 16 days or transatlantic cruises, guests over 18 years of age require full vaccination coverage. A person who has received three individual vaccinations or, as a recovered person, two individual vaccinations, is considered fully vaccinated. Children and young people under the age of 18 generally do not need vaccinations on AIDA cruises.

For Orient cruises, unvaccinated guests require either a certified PCR test or a certified proof of recovery. At Abu Dhabi Airport, children under the age of 16 and under the age of 12 in Dubai are exempt from the above conditions.

A prerequisite for every AIDA trip is a certified negative antigen test for all guests aged 3 and over. The earliest testing time is two days before boarding.

For added protection, guests are encouraged to wear a medical face mask indoors on board and to be fully vaccinated for all travel, although this is currently optional for many sailing areas.

Due to the highly dynamic situation surrounding COVID-19 around the world, adjustments to vaccination and testing regulations may occur despite careful planning.

NEW: Travel policy starting from September 17, 2022

Proof of vaccination protection against COVID-19 will no longer be required on many AIDA trips in the future. In order to protect the health of our guests and crew, the following regulations apply from September 17, 2022:

Certified negative antigen test for all guests 3 years and older.

Children and young people under the age of 18 generally do not need vaccinations on AIDA cruises.

Travel up to 15 days: No COVID-19 vaccination required for guests 18 and over.

Travel longer than 16 days: full vaccination protection for guests aged 18 and over, including those who have recovered. A person who has received three individual vaccinations or, as a recovered person, two individual vaccinations, is considered fully vaccinated.

Orient travel: no vaccination required if a certified PCR test or certified proof of recovery can be submitted instead
