AIDA Cruises announced that all matches of the FIFA 2022 World Cup, which will be hosted in Qatar, will be broadcasted live on board all twelve cruise ships. Football matches from the opening day of the World Cup to the closing day will go live on large LED screens in the theatrium, on the pool deck or in the Four Elements. Top-class experts and a football show team made up of athletes will ensure to bring the World Cup atmosphere on board on selected sailing.

On AIDAprima's metropolitan tour, the Unique Freestylers from Hamburg offer an impressive football program to marvel at and join in: Extraordinary ball acrobatics, spectacular moves and a breathtaking show will amaze every football fan. Different workshops will engage soccer fans to learn fantastic tricks and juggle and impress their spectators. Guest sailing on the 7-day cruise from/to Hamburg starts on November 19, 2022 will experience the World Cup opening game on November 20, 2022, as well as the first game of the German national team on November 23, 2022 live on board.

The Unique Freestylers are also guests on board AIDAbella during the World Cup match days: they offer an entertaining program in their trick camps both during the “Canary Islands Big Winter Break” and the “Caribbean Big Winter Break”. From November 12th to December 8th, 2022 it goes from/to Hamburg to the Canary Islands and from December 8th, 2022 from/to Hamburg in 43 or 44 days to the Caribbean and back.

On the Caribbean sailing "Lesser Antilles & Mexico" Dr. Pedro Gonzalez will be a World Cup presenter on board AIDAdiva. The DFB fitness trainer is a sports scientist and has already coached world champions such as André Schürrle, Toni Kroos and Thomas Müller as well as Olympic champions from cycling and boxing. He prefers to train the guests on board individually with performance diagnostics and personal training as well as in his popular sports workshops. He will be reporting from the world of football for the World Cup and moderating the round of 16, quarter-finals and semi-finals as well as the grand final on December 18, 2022. The 14-day trip from Martinique to Montego Bay will start on December 4, 2022.

When the ball rolls in the stadiums in November and December 2022, there will be an amazing World Cup atmosphere on board the entire AIDA fleet. The “round of experts” of the AIDA crew provides the best entertainment during the live broadcasts. Public viewing events, a "Who wants to be a millionaire" soccer and World Cup special, fan talks, betting games, and soccer quizzes complete the on-board program. For those who want to enjoy the great variety of AIDA vacations on board away from the World Cup, an entertainment program that is just as varied is also on offer.
