A milestone has been reached for Regent Seven Seas Cruises' upcoming Seven Seas Grandeur, which will be the sixth ship in the company's "World's Most Luxurious Fleet" when it debuts in November 2023.

In line with tradition, a launch ceremony was held on January 26 at the Fincantieri shipyard in Ancona, Italy, when the ship left its construction dry dock. For good luck, a bottle of champagne was smashed against her hull.

The Senior Comptroller of the Ancona Shipyard's Office of Economic Administration and Control served as best man for the ceremony, which also included a ribbon cutting and blessing by a shipyard priest before the ship's dry dock was submerged for the finale.

"While our new ships are always highly anticipated, Seven Seas Grandeur proved so popular, we had to make an additional sailing for her inaugural season," said Andrea DeMarco, president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. "The incredible reception to Seven Seas Grandeur is a testament not only to the high demand for luxury cruising, but also to Regent's position as a leader in this space with every luxury included, unparalleled hospitality and unrivaled space at sea." We are excited and extremely proud to welcome guests aboard the Seven Seas Grandeur later this year.”

For RSSC, Seven Seas Grandeur will embody its 30-year "Heritage of Excellence". It will weigh 55,500 gross tons and will be able to accommodate just 746 passengers, giving it the highest space-to-staff-to-guest ratio in the industry.

Now afloat in Fincantieri's shipyard, her final phase of construction will focus on the interior aspects of her 15 categories of stunning cabin suites, exquisite restaurants, elegant bars and lounges and more.

When she begins her inaugural season, this fall, the much-anticipated Seven Seas Grandeur will embark on 18 incredible Mediterranean and Caribbean voyages, with two phenomenal transatlantic crossings also factored into the equation, all of which will last from seven to 16 nights. duration.
