Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has welcomed back a familiar face to its team, announcing the return of Nick Cosslett as Cruise Director aboard Borealis.
Nick’s journey with the company began in 2012, when he first joined as a young crew member. His very first cruise was on Balmoral, a ship he still considers his favorite, and it was there that he discovered his passion for life at sea.
One of the highlights of his early career was taking part in a world cruise in 2013, where he met many loyal guests who continue to sail with the company today. What was originally planned as a single contract before pursuing an acting career soon turned into a lifelong calling.
“I completely fell in love with the onboard lifestyle,” Nick shared, reflecting on the moment he realized that cruising would become his long-term profession.
Over the years, Nick has built a reputation for his energy, stage presence, and strong connection with guests. He says that hearing passengers’ life stories continues to inspire him in his role, while working with and mentoring his team remains one of his biggest priorities.
Having benefited from the guidance of Cruise and Hotel Directors throughout his career, Nick is now committed to supporting and developing the next generation of shipboard entertainers and leaders.
When he’s not organizing activities or hosting events, guests are likely to find Nick playing deck games or entertaining crowds in the Neptune Lounge where he feels most at home on stage.
Looking ahead, he is especially excited about returning to Norway’s fjords and visiting the unique destinations that Fred. Olsen ships are known for reaching. His dream destination, however, remains Alaska, which he hopes to explore in the future.
Off duty, Nick enjoys unwinding by watching professional wrestling, appreciating its drama and spectacle after busy days onboard.
With his return, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines continues to strengthen its onboard leadership with experienced and familiar faces—something many repeat guests value deeply.
