Incident Reported on Icon of the Seas

Submitted by kgnadmin on

Over the weekend, an altercation involving several passengers broke out aboard the world’s largest cruise ship Icon of the Seas. The incident occurred on the final night of the cruise, which was reportedly sailing at full capacity. Videos capturing the incident have surfaced on social media like YouTube, gaining widespread attention.

According to passengers who witnessed the brawl, the conflict began in an elevator and eventually spilled onto other area of the ship. Reports suggest that the fight lasted more than 30 minutes, involving teenagers aged approximately 16-19.

"There was hair in the elevator where it started. It seemed that teenagers originally started fighting there. CRAZY! I know their parents feel bad that they spent that thousand plus to get in trouble because of their kids," one passenger said.

Another eyewitness described the chaos on the ship’s 6th floor:
"It was a lot of kids fighting, and several smaller altercations broke out afterward. People tried to intervene, but it only escalated things further. The security team wasn’t fully prepared for a situation like this."
Shipboard security teams acted promptly to de-escalate the situation, preventing further violence.
Royal Caribbean has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident or whether additional measures will be implemented to address such situations in the future.
