Royal Caribbean Beach Club To Open in Mexico

Royal Caribbean International is introducing a new beach club experience, expanding its destination offerings with the Royal Beach Club Cozumel in Mexico, scheduled to open in 2026. The announcement of this new addition was made on the western coast of Cozumel island by Royal Caribbean Group President and CEO Jason Liberty, alongside Royal Caribbean International President and CEO Michael Bayley, Quintana Roo's Secretary of Tourism, Bernardo Cueto Riestra, and Cozumel's Mayor, Juanita Alonso.

 

RoyaRoyal Beach Club Cozumel promises the quintessential beach day in Mexico, boasting beautiful beaches, pools tailored to various preferences, and Royal Caribbean's signature service and design. Guests will enjoy a blend of leisure and adventure, including swim-up bars, pools designated for relaxation and family fun, private cabanas, and water sports like snorkeling and kayaking. Culinary experiences will feature a mix of local Mexican flavors and beach day staples, offered through a variety of dining venues, including a restaurant, bar, and lounge with panoramic views, a street market, tequila tastings, and cooking classes.

 

Jason Liberty expressed enthusiasm about continuing the partnership with Cozumel's community and government, enhancing the travel experience to Mexico. He highlighted the alignment of this expansion with the increasing global demand for premium vacation experiences and the opportunity it presents for guests to immerse themselves in the rich cultures and communities of their destinations.

 

Michael Bayley shared the excitement for the new project, following the anticipation generated by the upcoming Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in The Bahamas, set to open in 2025. He emphasized that Cozumel's Royal Beach Club would enhance the island's offerings, merging Royal Caribbean's hallmark features with the vibrant spirit of Mexico, and catering to all vacationers with its amenities and activities.

 

Mara Lezama, governor of Quintana Roo, expressed pride in Cozumel's selection as the site for the new Royal Beach Club, affirming the region's commitment to collaborating with the private sector on building modern, sustainable infrastructure and creating jobs. She highlighted the project's significance in maintaining Quintana Roo's status as a premier cruise destination in Latin America.

 

The Royal Beach Club Cozumel is the latest venture in Royal Caribbean's expanding portfolio of unique destinations, including the renowned Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas and Labadee, Haiti. This expansion continues to offer vacationers a wide array of options for creating their ideal vacation experience in the Caribbean.
