MSC Cruises Rewards Crew with All-Expenses-Paid Trips to Formula 1 Grand Prix Worldwide

Submitted by kgnadmin on

MSC Cruises is celebrating its partnership with Formula 1 by offering Crew Members the opportunity to win all expenses paid trips to Formula 1 Grand Prix events across the globe.

The first of several contests gave crew the chance to win a trip for two to the Formula 1 Lenovo Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai. This was won by Mauro dos Santos Oliveira, a Kitchen Steward on MSC Seaview, whose submission of a photo of his idea of the ‘Perfect Pit Stop’ - a vacation at his mother’s work - made him the winner.

Ilaria Wambach, Head of Crew Experience at MSC Cruises, said: “This incredible prize has not only rewarded a dedicated member of our crew but also showcased our commitment to creating unique and memorable experiences for our employees. Mauro’s feedback has been heart-warming, and his winning trip was clearly a trip of a lifetime, as his photographs illustrate. We extend our congratulations to Mauro and we are already looking forward to welcoming another lucky employee to the F1 Grand Prix this year.’’

Mauro and his plus one enjoyed a hotel stay in Shanghai with panoramic views of the city and prime seats at the start line of the Grand Prix itself. They also had time to explore the city and received spending money to ensure they could immerse themselves in the art, culture and food of Shanghai.

Additionally, in recognition of the service of MSC Cruises long-standing crew members, a winner was chosen at random from a group of employees who have been with the company for over 25 years. The lucky winner was Ciro D’Agostino – Executive Chef, MSC World Europa, who won tickets to the Monaco GP, for himself and his daughter.
MSC Cruises’ relationship with Formula 1 will continue to provide opportunities to create extraordinary experiences for its Crew Members.
