Carnival Corporation announced an order for three massive new ships for Carnival Cruise Line, each nearly 230,000 gross tonnes. These colossal vessels will be built by the Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, and will run on eco-friendly liquefied natural gas (LNG), are set to hit the seas in the summers of 2029, 2031, and 2033.

Christine Duffy, the big boss at Carnival Cruise Line, is all about the guest experience. She promises these new ships will bring a whole new level of FUN and excitement that fans will go wild for.

And that’s not all! This year alone, Carnival Cruise Line has ordered placed their first order in five years for two more Excel-class ships, joining the fleet in 2027 and 2028. Plus, they're bringing five ships from sister brands into the Carnival Cruise Line between 2023 and March 2025.

Carnival’s CEO, Josh Weinstein, is doubling down on the brand's growth, aiming to meet the sky-high demand for cruises. He’s got a plan for new ship deliveries every year from 2025 to 2033, focusing on strategic growth and boosting the company’s financial health.

These new ships will be the biggest in Carnival’s fleet, featuring over 3,000 guest rooms and accommodating nearly 8,000 guests. By 2033, Carnival will boast 16 LNG-powered ships, nearly 30% of their total capacity, slashing greenhouse gas emissions.
