Carnival Cruise Line Employees Participate in International Coastal Cleanup Day

Job well done by several hundreds of Carnival crew members and shore side employees who participated in the International Coastal Cleanup Day. On September 19, they did their part to help environment by cleaning the coast and beaches in different seaside locations from Europe, Florida and the Caribbean to Central America. Carnival Cruise line employees give a great example of the line’s ongoing commitment for environmental protection and preservation. 

Cruise Ship Crew and Passengers to be Charged $10 for Landing in Colon?

Looking for ways to rise more money, the City Council of Colon decided to implement $10 tax for each person landing by Cruise Ship. This controversial tax passed on June 19, 2016 raised the alarm by the Maritime Chamber of Panama, saying that this will affect the cruise ships coming in this port, and directing their vessels in other ports.

Carnival Cruise Line Retro Uniforms From the 90s

Back in 1991 Carnival Cruise Line introduced its latest cruise ship Carnival Ecstasy. With the new ship came the new uniforms for the dining room waiters and assistant waiters. Celebrity Cruises Bartender Wins Diageo Best Bartender Award

Celebrity Cruises bartender, Andrej Malic has been named Diageo Global Travel’s best bartender for 2016. This global bartender competition was held on 17 August in the Diageo 396 Bar in Miami. Andrej Malic, from Bosnia and Herzegovina, topped the competition from hundreds of cruise line bartenders representing Holland America Line, Norwegian Cruise Line and Celebrity Cruises. The Celebrity Cruises bartender won this prestigious award with his ‘Old Spice Fashion’ cocktail, featuring Bulleit Bourbon.

Working on a cruise ship can be very demanding and stressful. Long hours, not enough rest, and missing home can contribute towards the unhappiness of crew members. The motivation for every crew member is money and positive guest comment cards. Money gives crew members freedom to plan their future further than the cruise ship and positive guest comments give them an opportunity to get more money faster.
