Letter by Former Cunard Security Crew Member.

I joined Cunard ie Carnival UK corporation from FMSI Mumbai Office well Carnival UK corporation has got 2 companies Cunard and P&O cruises respectively I have worked as security executive in the past in Mumbai in Hotels as well as Airlines the company in India arranged for my US C1/D visa Bermuda CDC and medicals also it was everything fine there in Mumbai office well it was my first time on cruises in my life.

I joined cruise Cunard Queen Mary 2 on 16th October 2014 as my first contract all was well everything was good. There was an supervisor Named Indra she was really nice to me when it came to frame Supervior Santosh in the team so I was made the culprit before later on everything was going good until one day her husband Mahendra joined ship in Hong Kong well he is been hated by everyone who works with him since he came on ship he ruined my life he started acting as if he owns the vessel well I tried complaining to my Security Officer but there was no use he used to pin point me each and every time he backfeeded SECO along with his wife Indra who was supervisor on board about me so harsh that I was given poor appraisal put on PIP(performance Improvement Plan) well SECO blindly give me a poor appraisal even though I knew my duties well I did perform well on cruise just my mistake was that it was my first contract I was new to this industry so I was a bit kiddish but work-wise I performed all my tasks also I knew my job but I was a person who could fight for my rights that time mom was unwell back in India so I became lose and this advantage was taken by these couples here I did put an allegation against him but nothing worked out as these couple was on ship for 11 years and never changed the ship so they have become corrupt and tyrant well also racist because I was an Indian and new on cruise well I did perform well but these people backfeeded the SECO time and again spoiling my reputation which leaded to PIP this was my first contract.

In second contract the Senior Security Patrols were appointed tasks to train me about the ship which was really unacceptable in this Mahendra too was one to train me and monitor my performance well everytime he shouted me and scolded me in front of public well no one says anything to Mahendra because his wife Indra whos a security supervisor give the person hardtime well I requested change of ship but still to give me pains I was brought back to same ship then here I met new supervisor Amal Rai who used to harress me all the time used to say all nonsense blackmail me I tried explaining her about what happened to me but she dint pay attention well I knew my duties but still for her I was a nut well once she told me I am your supervisor tomorrow if you don’t work I will make you clean all of your security crew cabins this is what your worth of onc,she evne said on liverpool port that I am so strong and powerful that I would blacklist you on your passport while leaving home when I was sacked she said fuck off you bloody Indian your worth to be sacked,she had put an allegation against me sleeping on duty which I wasn’t doing so still she complained and one day there was a mistake by my hand that I went on tours and passenger complained about me leaving them behind there was my final hearing that I am discharged from the current ship.

I reported harassment to the Deputy captain when i got a warning due to noro-virus late reporting they all kept quite well I wanted to inform the DC after decision taken about everything what happened so is my SECO Richard but nothing worked he was in their support I informed the Doctor on board HR manager Ms Val but there was nothing done then I informed DPA Mr Nigel Stewart but I was discharged on disciplinary grounds well I would still be saved if Amal Rai wouldn’t put any allegation against me.

After all this happenings I am at home now helpless I spoke to a Head of HR Mr Phil Banks well i wanted to speak to CEO of the company well I have just one request to please get be back to any of the carnival brands well due to the Poor appraisal purposely given I am not getting jobs anywhere in other companies.
