Crew members aboard MSC Divina assisted in the rescue of a boat in distress late last night while the cruise ship was sailing near Roatán, Honduras, according to information shared by a crew member onboard.
The rescue was reported after the ship departed the Honduran port when the captain made a public announcement over the vessel’s public address system informing guests and crew that a distress signal had been received from a nearby boat.

According to a crew member who witnessed the operation, the cruise ship responded to the emergency call and launched a rescue effort.
“Last night we rescued a yacht boat who gave a distress signal,” the crew member said, explaining that the announcement came directly from the captain while the ship was at sea after leaving Roatán.
The crew member said that approximately four people were rescued during the operation, though further details about their condition or the reason the yacht issued the distress signal have not yet been confirmed.
It remains unclear what caused the yacht to issue the distress call or where the rescued individuals were ultimately taken after being brought onboard MSC Divina.
